Some people don't like to practise and wonder why they aren't progressing. Look at these videos and see what regular and sustained practise does for your performance.

SUZANNE MOTT joined my piano studio in 2009 as an adult beginner. When she left due to a change in her circumstances, she was playing Clementi's Sonatina No 1 and Hoagy Carmichael's Georgia but her main musical love was jazz singing. She's been singing since she was quite young and has performed widely in musicals and concerts. Her current CD is 'Fly Me to the Moon'.

NOT MY STUDENTS BUT I WISH THEY WERE!

The 1920s solo of The Charleston -- pianist Michael Sands plays Winifred Atwell's version. No, I don't know how to obtain the sheet music but when I find it, I'll be back.

Maya is 6 years old. She is an established pianist in her own right and is the granddaughter of the famous piano Professor Tamir of the Academy of Music. Here she is playing Haydn's (not Hayden's) Concerto in D Major with the Israeli Symphony Orchestra. Watch how she holds her fingers and how she holds her resting hand - those of you who insist on keeping them on the keys!

And now watch 3-year-old Jonathon conducting the 4th movement of Beethoven's 5th Symphony!
