"I am affected by everything that goes on in the world...and then I long to express my feelings in music." Robert Schumann (1810-1856)

ATTENDANCE

If you enrol but cannot begin lessons for a week or three because of a holiday or work commitment (or any other reason), I am unable to reserve any unattended sessions while you are away, so it makes more sense to contact me on your return to enrol for a set of lessons and to begin your studies then instead of starting lessons and taking a break after you've begun. You can reserve lessons while you are away by paying a retainer, otherwise the sessions will be offered to other prospective students on the waiting list.

Please note that students are expected to attend regularly and punctually at the time arranged. If you are late for a lesson, I cannot extend it for you into someone else's lesson; if you arrive too early, you will be expected to wait until the time your lesson is booked to begin.

BANK HOLIDAYS

No lessons are held on Bank Holidays, with no loss of fees to students

CANCELLATIONS

If you find that you have to miss a lesson, please let me know 48 hours in advance, otherwise fees wil not be refundable. This gives me a chance to put someone else into that session.

If students are unable to transfer to another day or time that week, fees for any last minute cancelled lessons are not refundable.

Lessons missed owing to cancellation by the tutor will be made up and fees will not be lost by the student.

It is the parent's or the student's responsibility to phone or email to cancel lessons. I will offer an alternative session if requested but only if there is one available.

REGULAR CANCELLATIONS

Where a student persistently cancels lessons for whatever reasons, or fails to turn up for lessons with no contact, I reserve the right to terminate their lessons.

DISCONTINUATION

If you wish to discontinue lessons during paid sessions, any fees paid will be forfeited if the lessons don't continue up to the end of the contracted four-week period.

Terms and Conditions

Please read the above, and the Lessons and Fees pages carefully before deciding whether you wish to enrol for lessons. Separate Terms and Conditions will be given when you begin and when you are satisfied with these, you will be asked to sign the two Agreement forms, one for your future reference and the second for my records. You may wish to refer back to them occasionally to remind yourself of the content.
