MANCHESTER PIANO TUTOR FEES
If you decide to go ahead and book a block of piano lessons, it's a good idea to run off this page, so that you have a copy of my fees and terms.
Resist the temptation to buy your music first, as this may mean extra expense if I recommend something different.
FEES
£14.00 for 30 minutes x 4 lessons = £56.00
£21 for 45 minutes x 4 lessons = £84.00
£28 for 60 minutes x 4 lessons = £112.00
TRIAL LESSONS
Single trial lesson = £14.00 for 30 minute assessment
Research carried out among UK piano tutors in February 2010 at the University of Reading for the Incorporated Society of Musicians (ISM), revealed that the mid-point for private lessons in September 2009 was £28 an hour. Most tutors charge between £24 and £34 an hour, depending on experience and location.

Gift voucher lessons need not be held consecutively - all you need do is phone on 0161 445 0159 to arrange it. Gift voucher dates can be arranged with the purchaser or the recipient. They are not transferable or refundable.
Music and any other materials are additional to fees.

PAYMENT
Lessons must be booked and paid for IN ADVANCE in blocks of four, or longer if preferred, before the first lesson. An invoice will be sent by post or email for payment before you come for your first lesson, in order to secure your chosen date and time. Lessons cannot be held open without this payment and the first lesson cannot go ahead without it.
This advance payment secures four consecutive weekly lessons, except for other agreed lesson patterns, eg fortnightly.
Once paid for, these four lessons are firm bookings.
If you know of days within a four week block when you will be unable to come, please let me know at least 48 hours in advance, so that alternative days can be offered.
Fees for missed lessons are not refundable unless 48 hours advance notice is given.
An invoice will be given with the 4th lesson, to be paid before the start of the next scheduled block of lessons.
Payment may be made by cash or cheque.
LATE PAYMENTS
Failure to pay in advance will result in no further lessons until payment is made. Unpaid lessons cannot be held. If you go away at the end of your block of paid lessons, please note that they may not be available at the same day and time when you return, as I am not always able to hold them open for more than one week.
