Both Left-handed Helpline and The Left-hander's Handbook won book awards from the British Medical Association (BMA), in 1995 and 1999. My research was funded by the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation. Its guidelines have been adopted by the NFER as a research-based educational resource for teachers in the UK and New Zealand.

My first book, Living Left-Handed was published by Bloomsbury Publishing in 1990, 1994 and 1997. It has been translated into German, Spanish, Hungarian, Polish and Swedish. 239pp, paperback. It is now out of print but can be borrowed from public libraries and found in second hand bookshops, on Amazon or ebay.
